The pop in centre
Pop In Centre is a youth café & drop in centre for young people of secondary school age. The Pop In Centre, which opened in 1996, is operated by the charity ‘Prestatyn & Meliden Community Action Group’ (Charity No: 1061602). The Pop In Centre provides a safe and informal space for young people to relax, socialise and have fun, away from the pressures of day to day life.
The centre is equipped with the following facilities, which are free for young people to use.

Camping Equipment
The centre is furnished with a snack bar / youth café facility which sells sweets, drinks and snacks at very competitive prices. We have information points at which you can find leaflets on a range of subjects including mental health, sexual health, internet safety and drugs and alcohol. Some PDF documents are also available for download from this web site. Always contact us if there is something specific you are struggling to find information about.
During school holidays we take young people on a variety of day trips and residential activities. Although there is a cost to most of these trips, they are usually subsidised by approximately 50% of the regular ticket price. Amongst our most popular trips are: Alton Towers, Crocky Trail, Bowling, Ice Skating, PGL, Camping, Golf Range
We are always open to new ideas and suggestions on how we can improve the centre and our programme of activities.
